Kelly O'Connell

Research Assistant 

Kelly O’Connell (she/her) is a Research Assistant at CESA supporting the National Community Solar Partnership and the Solar with Justice project. Kelly is interested in resiliency, environmental justice, and developing clean energy solutions with a community centered and equitable approach.

Kelly recently completed her MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University SIPA. Prior to her master’s, she worked in government affairs working to access federal funding for green hydrogen development and expansion projects. In 2021, she received her BA in Political Science and Spanish from Villanova University. There, she also minored in Sustainability Studies and Latin American Studies in line with her passions and her concern for environmental issues on a global scale.
