Oregon and Rhode Island have been working on a series of community outreach initiatives in order to create accessibility to solar within the low- and -moderate-income (LMI) communities. These various initiatives provide useful templates for similar initiatives in other parts of the country.
In this webinar, hosted by the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA), Shauna Beland of the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources and Betsy Kauffman of Energy Trust of Oregon discussed their programs.
This webinar was presented by CESA as part of a State Energy Strategies project supported by a grant from the US Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office. Learn more about this project at: https://www.cesa.org/projects/low-income-clean-energy/state-energy-strategies-project/
