Leo Levitt
Summer Research Fellow
Leo is a rising Junior at Yale University, studying Economics with a certificate in Climate Science and Solutions. Originally from San Mateo, California, Leo is interested in renewable energy project finance, demand management, and other AI-power grid optimization and internal operations. As an Summer Research Fellow focusing on AI for clean energy, Leo collaborates with CESA’s partners to determine effective integrations of various AI technologies into grid operations, forecasting, and internal operations. Leo also assists CESA in managing its own internal use of AI. At Yale, Leo works as a Research Assistant at the Tobin Center for Economics, currently working under Professor Cameron LaPoint at the School of Management for a study titled Environmental Cleanup Incentives as Place-Based Redistribution: Evidence from the EPA’s Brownfields Program.
