Nate Hausman

Nate Hausman is a Senior Project Director at CESA, where he leads the VPP Acceleration Initiative, a national effort to scale Virtual Power Plants across the United States. He brings more than a decade of experience advancing clean energy through program design, financing strategies, and market transformation initiatives. Nate previously served at CESA from 2013 to 2021, focusing on solar energy policy and program development, before returning to the organization in 2026. During the intervening years, he held positions with the Center for Sustainable Energy, Inclusive Prosperity Capital, Green Mountain Power, and the World Resources Institute, where he worked to expand access to clean energy solutions. Nate holds a J.D. with a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark Law School and a B.A. from Colorado College.
