Amanda Arthur

Project Director

Amanda Arthur is Project Director for Solar and Virtual Power Plants at CESA, where she works to advance distributed energy solutions and expand access to on-site clean energy generation. She brings experience in solar policy, virtual power plants, net metering, and equitable energy program design.

Amanda previously served as Distributed Energy Manager at the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, where she advanced rooftop solar, plug-in solar, VPPs, and net metering across the Southeast. Before that, she worked in climate and resilience planning in South Carolina, supporting statewide initiatives focused on energy, sustainability, and community resilience through policy analysis, research, program design, and stakeholder engagement.

Amanda is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Geography at the University of South Carolina, where her research focuses on energy burden, climate change mitigation, and geospatial analysis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Westminster College and is a U.S. Army veteran.
