Advancing Building Electrification through State-Led Research, Development, and Deployment: An Interactive Webinar Discussion for CESA Members
Monday, December 8, 2025 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM ET
CESA will hold a members-only interactive webinar to discuss how states can work together to meet their building electrification challenges by scaling new and innovative technologies. As the federal government pulls back from supporting research, development, commercialization, and deployment of emerging climate and clean energy technologies, state collaboration is needed to fill the gap and maintain momentum.
This interactive webinar will focus on identifying states’ current challenges to building decarbonization, emerging companies and technologies that can address those challenges, and the role that all states can play in bringing those technologies to market.
The webinar will feature presentations and case studies from the California Energy Commission, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, and NYSERDA on their own efforts to support RD&D for buildings. Attendees will be encouraged to join an open discussion of the best ways that states can collaborate going forward.
Featured Speakers:
- Cammy Peterson, Deputy Director for Energy Systems, Innovation, and Strategy, R&D Division, California Energy Commission
- Galen Nelson, Chief Climate Officer, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center
- Richard Bourgeois, Associate Director for Innovation Partnerships, NYSERDA
