Developing non-Lithium Ion Energy Storage Technologies to Support California’s Clean Energy Goals

Thursday, September 24, 2020 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET

Join us for a one-hour webinar with the California Energy Commission (CEC) to learn more about its “beyond batteries” solicitations. The CEC is evaluating, supporting, and demonstrating the performance of non-Li+ storage technologies to help meet state clean energy goals. Its programs focus on customer-side of the meter applications, green hydrogen storage for customer-side applications, long-duration storage, and on low-income and disadvantaged communities applications. Over $100 million in EPIC and cost-share investments in over 20 grants in 2020 will contribute to the 45+ microgrid deployments with energy storage that are increasing resiliency, driving down costs, and establishing lessons learned and best practices to help California meet its future clean energy goals.

This webinar is presented by the Clean Energy States Alliance.

Guest Speaker: Mike Gravely, Energy Research and Development Division, California Energy Commission

Moderator: Val Stori, Project Director, Clean Energy States Alliance
