ESTAP Webinar: Resilient Solar-Storage Systems for Homes and Commercial Facilities

Wednesday, July 17, 2013 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

CESA’s Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership (ESTAP) project hosted a webinar featuring Michael Kleinberg of DNV KEMA, who discussed existing solutions and opportunities for solar PV systems with battery backup in residential and commercial applications. These types of systems can island and continue to supply power to critical loads during a grid outage. The technology may be applied to achieve resilient power to critical infrastructure facilities while reducing energy costs and enabling demand response. The webinar included basic information on system size, costs, and payback periods.

Introduction by Dr. Imre Gyuk, Energy Storage Program Manager in the US DOE Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability.
