Sam Schacht

Sam Schacht is a CESA Project Director, leading CESA’s Offshore Wind Accelerator, Member Services, Climatetech Innovation work, and partnership with the Clean Energy Connector. He is passionate about making clean energy affordable, accessible, and beneficial to everyone, especially disadvantaged and under-invested communities. Previously, Sam worked at Groundswell, a solar developer based in Washington, DC, where he managed subscriber engagement and support for Groundswell's community solar projects and the DC Department of Energy and Environment's Solar for All program. He worked with a wide range of government offices, community-based organizations, and individuals committed to equitable clean power. He holds a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Rochester, with minors in Sustainability, Anthropology, and German, and a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University’s Center for Business and the Environment. Outside of work, Sam loves reading, going to the movies, and all things soccer.
