Sam Schacht

Project Manager 

Sam Schacht is a CESA Project Manager, working on the Offshore Wind Accelerator and 100% Clean Energy Collaborative projects. He is deeply interested in issues around clean power and environmental justice. Previously, Sam worked at Groundswell, a solar developer based in Washington, DC, where he managed subscriber engagement and support for Groundswell's community solar projects and the DC Department of Energy and Environment's Solar for All program. He worked with a wide range of government offices, community-based organizations, and individuals committed to equitable clean power. He holds a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Rochester, with minors in Sustainability, Anthropology, and German. Beyond CESA, Sam is involved in the Fix the Grid campaign, working to speed up the transition of New England's grid to clean power. Outside of work, Sam loves reading, hiking, and all things soccer. He supports Arsenal in the English Premier League.
