Financing Resilient Power in Underserved Communities: Moving Forward with Distributed Solar+Storage Projects
Tuesday, October 20, 2020 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM ET
Resilient solar PV and battery storage (solar+storage) projects are increasingly being pursued in low- and moderate-income communities in response to a combination of falling costs, new revenue opportunities and incentive programs, and innovative financing solutions. This webinar, hosted by Clean Energy Group and the New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC), explored the economics of distributed solar+storage projects, characteristics of current projects, financing solutions, incentives, and technical assistance resources.
Panelists:
• Seth Mullendore, Clean Energy Group
• Curtis Probst, NYCEEC
• Kaitlin Kelly, Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources
• Emily Jones, LISC Boston
• Christina McPike, WinnCompanies
• Thomas Mitchell, LISC NYC
In partnership with The Kresge Foundation, Clean Energy Group and NYCEEC are committed to accelerating the market development of solar+storage technologies in underserved communities. Thanks to a generous $3 million loan guarantee from Kresge, NYCEEC is offering competitive financing for solar+storage projects. Clean Energy Group provides technical assistance support to help organizations assess the feasibility of potential solar+storage projects.
This webinar was presented by Clean Energy Group (www.cleanegroup.org) and NYCEEC (www.nyceec.com).
This webinar was supported in part by the Scaling Up Solar for Under-Resourced Communities project, which receives funding support from the US Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office.
