Webinar & Events - Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership
Our annual lookback at the year in energy storage will cover advances in the U.S. market, including deployment trends, policy and regulatory updates; the state of the art in energy storage technologies; and the market outlook for the coming years. Dan Finn-Foley from Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables will share his insights, with introductory remarks from Dr. Imre Gyuk from US DOE Office of Electricity.
This webinar described existing participation barriers for DERs in wholesale electricity markets and how Order 2222 should help lower them.
Nantucket Island Energy Storage: Batteries for Reducing Peak and Deferring Infrastructure Investment
Speakers from PNNL, National Grid, and DOE will discuss Nantucket’s new battery energy storage system.
Massachusetts is launching the nation’s first Clean Peak Energy Standard, an ambitious, complex program that aims to reduce peak electric demand, cut emissions, and lower ratepayer costs.
A new 2.5 MW battery storage project in Decorah, Iowa will boost the capacity of the local electric grid to allow for the addition of more rooftop solar in the community

This webinar is a follow-on to CESA’s ESTAP webinars on energy storage projects and implementation at municipal utilities.
This ESTAP webinar is the third in a multi-part energy storage webinar series will cover energy storage applications and economics. Numerous opportunities for revenue and cost savings have been identified for energy storage on both sides of the meter, including frequency regulation, demand charge management, arbitrage, ancillary services, T&D deferral and others. This webinar will look at when and where these opportunities exist, which services can be effectively “stacked,” how revenue-generating opportunities are sometimes limited due to market rules or utility tariffs, and what future opportunities might arise with changes in market rules and regulations.
This ESTAP webinar will provide an introduction to QuEST, an open-source software application suite for energy storage valuation. QuEST was developed by Sandia National Laboratories as a free, public tool to assist in energy storage valuation for various use cases.
